Meet Dr. Naeem Patel

Dr. Patel is a Melbourne-based medical practitioner with a background in surgical sciences and cosmetic medicine. All consultations and treatments at Karui are performed personally by Dr. Patel.

A considered approach to practice

Dr. Naeem Patel completed his medical degree followed by postgraduate training in surgical sciences at the University of Edinburgh one of the world’s leading centres for surgical education. He subsequently attained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a qualification that reflects rigorous training across surgical disciplines and a commitment to clinical excellence.

Following his surgical training, Dr. Patel undertook advanced cosmetic medicine training in both Australia and at Harley Street, London widely regarded as one of the most respected environments for aesthetic medicine practice. He is registered with AHPRA as a medical practitioner and brings to cosmetic medicine a perspective shaped by surgical training: precise, methodical, and always patient-led.

Dr. Patel is known for his unhurried consultation style and his commitment to honest, thorough advice — including the recommendation to not proceed with treatment when that is the most appropriate course.

"Cosmetic medicine performed by a doctor who starts with the face. Not the treatment."

Dr. Patel’s approach to cosmetic medicine begins not with a treatment menu, but with a whole-face assessment. He considers facial anatomy, natural proportions, skin quality, and the patient’s long-term goals before any treatment is discussed.

This means that for some patients, a single conservative treatment is appropriate. For others, a staged approach across several sessions. And for some, no treatment at all at least not yet. The consultation is designed to give patients the information they need to make a decision they are confident in.
